Why Do You Have to Pad My Top?

Today, I have two simple questions to pose…

1. Can someone please explain to me why every yoga top I buy has these little removable pads? My boobs are fine the way they are, thank you very much yoga clothing companies.(And I have yoga to thank for my positive body image so… I think you might be barking up the wrong tree..)

2. What the heck am I supposed to do with this mountain that’s been sitting in my underwear drawer for years? Letting my 11-month-old play with them doesn’t seem quite right… though she does seem to think they make pretty cool toys…

Am I the only one with a boob padding mountain in my drawer? What do you do with yours?

I thought they are there because of the shear material…a little extra coverage.

Oh no… If that's the case, I've been flashing people for years and I never knew it.. Quick! Someone call Lululemon and tell them their tops are see-through, too!

I agree. I also have a mountain of them…. I've started pulling them out when purchasing tops at the stores and leaving them with them. Why take them when I know they're just going to sit in the depths of my dresser?

I guess it is better to have the choice there if you want it because you can always take them out vs having to pad your tops yourself.

I leave them on, unless I've got a sports bra on. It really does add that extra coverage 😛

Send me all your bra pads! I actually prefer to have them in the top to hide "the headlights", as I am fairly modest. A shelf bra doesn't do the job as well.

OK.. I'm officially going to try on all of my tops again and study this in the mirror! I'm glad I posted this. I really thought they were to shape and, ehrm.., enhance? I'm glad they serve a more practical purpose for someone!

I also use them for modesty and I think they help make the bra more supportive. Just wish they wouldn't fold over on themselves in the wash!

Hmmm, good question, i think that they may do that for support (so you don't have to wear a bra under your yoga top)
Oh, you know i found this place that has super comfy yoga pants (http://www.karmicfit.com/Product/Detail/1670–Jean-Style-Fitted-Yoga-Legging-w-Back-Pocket-in-Bluebird-by-Green-Apple)

Just just thought share my finds with my fellow yoga lovers <3

I leave them at the shop – Apparently they like them for their mannequins!

These pads offer breast better support and they cover the nipples too. But they're not necessary for some.

I love that they offer them. I won't buy sports tops without them. Headlights have been a real problem post-nursing.
