Spoiled Yogi

From Studio to Street

If I had a million dollars this is what I’d wear to do my weekend errands before I head to my favorite yoga studio! My birthday is in August if any of you would like to start saving your pennies. 🙂

Oooh – my birthday is this month. Do you think you can hook up that uber-cute teal sports cami you posted? 🙂

Yeah you girls have it so good with all the choices you have. If I spent a million dollars on yoga clothes it would have to end up being 50,000 OM t-shirts.

Bob, no.. but that's a great idea!

Y is for Yogini, I don't think they make it anymore! 🙁

Meredith, Polyvore is a great place where people with NO design skills can create wonderful fashion and interior design collages.. I LOVE it!

Frenzy… Seriously? I hear this complaint from guys a lot, but you wouldn't buy it if they made more yoga clothes for you. Would you?

You don't know me very well do you 🙂

Yeah I'd love to see some fashion forward clothes. prAna & Verve do ok with the pants but its all pretty plain. The tops however are awful. Its either some stupid yoga pose (crow or lotus seem popular?) or Om silk screened in the center of a plain jane t-shirt. Whenever they do anything besides solid colors it looks like something out of Fists of Fury – I dont see the connection between Bruce Lee and yoga …do you?

So yoga clothing manufacturers take a look at Cycling or Skiing. In Cycling I can choose from 1000's of very cool jerseys, even the shorts have color, design and are unique. Rock Racing (the cycling arm of Rock n Republic Jeans) has a whole line of on and off the bike clothes that are amazing. In Skiing I think 1/2 of the men's jackets are never designed for the slope, just the lodge.

Now some stores like Drishti do a pretty good job of at least offering what is available, but I usually have to go to Outdoor stores and look to the trail running section to find some selection in tops.

Hey I don't do wash every day, lets get us some options out there.

I sense some time wasting with Polyvore coming up today…

Namaste, mama!

I'm Erica. I'm a yoga teacher who helps pregnant and new mamas find more balance in their life through yoga, mindfulness, self-care, inspiration, community, and humor. I spoil my yoga students rotten (in a good way!), and it's my mission to teach mamas that it's not selfish to spoil themselves every now and then, too.
